Chaos Psychology

  • The grand theory. This preentation illustrates a monist constructivist theory. This theory is behind the thinking of my approach to chaos psychology. Chaotic phenomena need looped-discrete underlying building blocks to be applicable. Thus, a construction of cognition is necessary that builds this foundation.

  • Instead of complaining that people don’t have the proper takeaways form chaos science, why not create my own little series on fractal and chaotic phenomena. Often, the descriptions that are available online are very mathematical, and it is not immediately obvious why the information should be relevant to you. That is particularly true, if you have no clue about the subject yet. I’ll try to go with a minimum of mathematics in the beginning, and try to explain it step by step.

  • Popper’s approach to truth implies that one cannot state truth. Instead, theories have to be falsified. As a popular assumption, doing so frees one from making false assumptions about truth. But there’s a hidden fallacy in this approach that is not very obvious, and can have devastating consequences if it becomes unconscious and forgotten.

  • Thinking of organizations and meditating might not recall very similar pictures to most minds. When thinking of organizations, many people will probably dream of process diagrams and move along in an engineering school of thought. Whereas meditation seems to be the epitome of non-thinking, let alone rational thinking (sometimes, cynically, that is attributed to organizations too). However considering the underlying mechanisms both methods show striking similarities. To take this even further: Meditation does to your mind what a good strategist does to an organization because both imply modifying loops of mutual causation.
